One of the largest Chamber of Commerce organizations in Illinois, the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry creates opportunities while simultaneously connecting Chicagoland businesses, small and large. Since 1934, the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry has connected business, community, and government to promote a positive business climate in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. In 1989, the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry founded the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry Foundation to provide educational opportunities for community members. Programs include professional development seminars and workshops, scholarships, a business resource center, and support for young entrepreneurs.
When the Des Plaines Chamber had a temporary vacancy in its digital marketing work, Executive Director Andrea Biwer reached out to Rizzo Young Marketing LLC. Specifically, the Des Plaines Chamber needed to relaunch its social media presence, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Google My Business, Twitter, and Instagram. The Chamber also had a weekly email newsletter designed through Constant Contact, that wasn’t reaching its full audience. With Des Plaines being home to Rizzo Young, our team had local insight in tandem with the required social media marketing and email marketing skills needed to help the Des Plaines Chamber.

Collaborating alongside goliath organizations like Mather LifeWays, Francesca’s Restaurant Group, and TLC Ingredients, while simultaneously covering Arlington Heights, Glen Ellyn, and Park Ridge, RAM Communications solves a wide array of infrastructure challenges on a daily basis.
When first approaching Rizzo Young Marketing LLC, RAM Communications had a straightforward digital marketing strategy, consisting of a website, monthly email marketing newsletter, and a budding YouTube channel dedicated to teaching viewers “telecom 101”. Because owner Rob McCoy ran the business as well as resolved telecom issues alongside his team, generating a consistent marketing and advertising initiative was challenging. In addition, Rizzo Young noticed that RAM Communications lacked a social media presence, leading to missed opportunities. For Jim Ross, owning Illinois Property Inspections meant conducting the actual residential and commercial home inspections, while simultaneously driving his company forward. After approaching Rizzo Young Marketing LLC, Jim Ross made it clear that while his business was technically based in Park Ridge, Illinois, he accommodates clientele throughout the entire state. As a jumping-off point, Rizzo Young recommended building a website and a social media presence, however, Illinois Property Inspections also had an extensive email list of Realtors, real estate attorneys, and mortgage lenders. This led Rizzo Young to design a monthly email marketing newsletter to gain traction with the audience, first via MailChimp, before eventually migrating to Squarespace.

Owner Philip King surmounted a daunting task when he stepped into the world of Fibrenew. Not only was he launching a new business venture, he was doing so near the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. While there was a lot of risk in the initiative, Rizzo Young Marketing LLC collaborated with him on a game plan to set Fibrenew North Shore up for success through the many years to come.

To fuel this strategy, Rizzo Young and Fibrenew North Shore joined forces on a series of before-and-after-style content, taking a “show, don’t tell” position on why customers should choose Fibrenew. From a social media marketing and advertising standpoint, this shot Instagram and Facebook towards the top of the list for starting platforms, though Rizzo Young would later enhance the LinkedIn and Google My Business presence as well. Similarly, Fibrenew North Shore continually added contacts to a lengthy email list, generating a compelling case for a regular email marketing newsletter, where Fibrenew was able to share samples of their work, client testimonials, and the latest offers presented by the brand.
